Special Needs Pets

What defines a special needs animal?

AWL defines a “special needs” animal as a dog or cat who, because of specific medical or behavioral circumstances, will need a special kind of home. These animals can be a WONDERFUL addition to your home and family – they will just need a little more time and effort than others.  Some of these animals may need follow up care and will require a financial commitment.

Animals with a paw designation are in our Treasured Pets Program
