Our Seniors for Seniors program matches older pets with people over the age of 62 for a reduced adoption fee and a lifelong bond.
Ollie’s owner had to move and was unable to take him along. So this big hunk of love is waiting to meet his new special human. He’s been with cats and dogs and currently resides in an open room with other cats…very peacefully. He’s a big boy but he doesn’t come with a lot of “baggage”…he’s just looking for a bowl of food, some water, a nice comfy bed, and someone who thinks he’s the best cat ever.
Look at Walter’s lion-like face! It has lots of different looks: tongue sticking out, a hey..what’s up look, and a please scratch my ears look. True to his fellow orange cats, he is relaxed and easy going. He wasn’t really fond of being with our other cats…so he may like being your one and only true love. Oh, what a love that would be! Did we mention that her loves catnip…and laps?
Mr. Brophy is anxious to tell you that he is one handsome dude who thinks being brushed is the cat’s pajamas! Just go easy on his tail…he likes that to be a quickie job. He comes right to humans, very docile and gentle and lets you know with a happy paw that you are pleasing him. He would also like you to know that 12 is not old!!!!
Female, age 9
Abby is a gorgeous middle aged cat who will eventually be a great lap cat. Right now she is adjusting to her new temporary home at the shelter. Wouldn’t you need some time after being in one home for 9 years? So we’re going slow and giving her time to get used to her new surroundings. She is a very pretty cat with some special white markings. She loves her soft bed but is not fond of butt rubs.
