Before adopting a pet, please note:
• A free vet visit is included • All dogs has been tested for heartworm
•Rabies vaccination and a county tag is still required after the adoption
• Adopters must be at least 18 years of age
•If you rent, verbal or written permission from landlord is required
• Southwest k-9 Academy will give 10% discount on training for any dog adopted from the shelter
•If you currently own a dog, you must bring your dog to the shelter to assure they are compatible with each other
•Peace River Dog Fanciers offers free training class, every 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, at the shelter. This is only valid for dogs that was adopted from the shelter.
•Before coming to the shelter, contact us to check the availability of a dog in this page
•We reserve the right to refuse an adoption
•If you currently own a pet, you must bring proof of current vaccines and rabies tag
• We stop adoptions at 4:30 p.m.
